Is Phototune free to use?
Yes. Phototune is free to use. You can remove backgrounds from images online without signing up or entering a credit card. No subscription required.
What file formats are supported?
We support JPEG, PNG, and WebP images. Upload your photo and we return a PNG with a transparent (or solid) background.
How do I remove a background from an image?
Go to the homepage, click to choose an image (or drag and drop), then click Remove Background. The tool processes the image and lets you download the result as a PNG.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use Phototune without creating an account or logging in. Just upload your image and download the result.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes. Each image can be up to 10 MB. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
What happens to my images?
Your uploaded image is used only to remove the background. We do not use your images for advertising or training. Processed files may be stored temporarily and then removed. See our Privacy Policy for details.
