Service ownership

PhotoTune is a software product owned and operated by MavenHandle.

All services provided under PhotoTune are managed by MavenHandle. References to “we”, “our”, or “us” in these Terms refer to MavenHandle.

Payments and merchant of record

All payments for PhotoTune subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record.

When you purchase a subscription, you are entering into a transaction with Paddle. Paddle is responsible for processing payments, handling applicable taxes, issuing invoices, and managing refunds and chargebacks.

Your billing statement may show charges from Paddle.com.

Subscription billing

PhotoTune services are offered on a subscription basis (monthly or annual).

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access will remain available until the end of the current billing period. For refunds, see our Refunds page (Paddle is the merchant of record).

Acceptance

By accessing or using PhotoTune (“the Service”) at https://phototune.xyz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of the Service

PhotoTune provides an online tool to remove backgrounds from images, including free and paid subscription tiers. You may use the Service for personal or commercial use in accordance with these terms. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

Your content

You retain ownership of images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process and store your images only as needed to provide the Service (e.g. background removal and temporary storage of the result). We do not use your images for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose other than delivering the Service. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use. You must not attempt to overload, abuse, or circumvent the Service’s technical or usage limits. We may block or terminate access for violation of these terms.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of results, or fitness for a particular purpose. Background removal is automated and may not be perfect for every image.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MavenHandle (operating PhotoTune) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or business. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or zero if you only use the free tier).

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
